Felisha Weaver has spent more than 15 years working in the field of higher education marketing and communications. Prior to pursuing her freelance endeavors full-time in 2022, she spent twelve years at Arkansas Tech University where she served on the MARCOMM leadership team. At ATU, she led a creative team as they researched, conceptualized, created, and implemented the first ever internally created marketing campaign in the university’s history. Additionally, Felisha was responsible for developing the design assets and style guide for the university’s first comprehensive brand study as well as the first comprehensive campaign.
White at ATU, Felisha was honored with more than 70 awards for her design work between 2018-2022, including a Grand Gold from the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for the undergraduate funnel. Her team was also named the top in-house team in the nation by the University & College Designers Association (UCDA).
Tasked with doing more comprehensive and collaborative projects, Felisha became driven to find new ways to improve productivity and increase brand consistency. She excels at recognizing opportunities to reduce redundancy and increase efficiency through ideating, exploring, and implementing systems and structures.
Felisha currently serves on the Board of Directors for UCDA and served as the conference chair in 2021 for the organizations 51st annual national conference. She has presented at the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO), and at CASE District IV, where she earned the Stellar Speaker Award. She also presented her Gen Z research in an Academic Impressions Webinar in 2020.
Felisha is a versatile professional who has carved a niche for herself in both the higher education and private sectors, while nurturing her passion for creativity through her own small screen-printing business. As a freelancer, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, making her a valuable asset to any project she takes on.
