Dr. Carrie Phillips adds to Cyan Marketing’s consulting expertise and brings more than 15 years of leadership in communications, marketing, and enrollment strategy. She currently serves as the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at UA Little Rock. Prior to that, she was the Director of Communications and Marketing at Arkansas Tech. There, she led an internal team to incredible heights. Some of her successes include boosting undergraduate enrollment numbers and revamping the enrollment funnel to focus on personalization, both of which were recognized nationally with top awards from CASE and UCDA. Under her leadership, the university also underwent its first comprehensive brand study and implementation across two campuses. Her team also led the design and creation of all marketing collateral for the university’s first comprehensive campaign, a campaign that has raised its total fundraising goal twice.
Throughout Dr. Carrie Phillips’s career, she has presented nationally at conferences including AMA, UCDA, CASE, AACRAO SEM, HighEdWeb, and many more. She is a recognized thought leader and author, focusing on marketing and enrollment strategy, leadership, and the enrollment cliff. She earned her doctorate from Texas Tech in 2022 and her dissertation topic looked at how universities might use marketing to mitigate the enrollment cliff.
